Geneva brings out personalised pocket maps for Indian visitors

ETW STAFFMumbai

Geneva has become the world’s first city to offer tailored destination guides to its key international markets with the launch of personalised pocket maps and new for January 2013 is one tailored for the Indian market. The pocket maps are unique in that each edition offers tips highlighting the city’s top attractions for specific geographic audiences. The Indian edition will be the ninth guide published to-date, with the others being the Russian, Chinese, Middle Eastern, UK/US, Swiss-German/ German, Spanish and Brazilian markets, as well as the city’s own cosmopolitan residents.

This Pocket Map will be jointly published in Hindi and English and highlight key attractions for Indian visitors such as dining out in some of the city’s finest gourmet Indian restaurants, visiting the Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi in the Capital of Peace, exploring Geneva’s history as the capital of watchmaking on a bespoke behind-the-scenes Geneva Watch Tour, casually cruising Lake Geneva on a paddle steamer or adventurously reaching new heights with a climb to the roof of Europe.

The pocket maps will be widely distributed at the Geneva Tourism & Conventions welcome desk (city centre) and to tour operators and travel agents. Digital editions can also be downloaded.
