Air India bags ‘Airline of the Year for 2014’ award in London

Air India has been awarded the Asian Voice Political & Public Life – Airline of the Year for 2014, at a function held in the House of Commons in London, UK. The award to Air India is a testimony to the national carrier’s efforts and commitment to live up to the expectations of its passengers.

Kailash Singh, regional manager, UK and Europe, Air India, received the award from Norman Baker, member of parliament and minister for crime prevention, UK.

Air India operates to 32 international and 62 domestic destinations, including far-flung areas of the North-East, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Air India has three daily flights to London and one daily flight to Birmingham operated with the B-787 Dreamliner. Air India today flies one of the youngest, state-of-the-art, fleet of 125 aircraft comprising a mix of the wide-body Boeing B787 Dreamliners, B777s, B747s, B737s, Airbus A330s and the narrow body Airbus A321s, A320s, A319s.
