Registrations open for the Great American Bicycle Ride 2013

Inme, an outdoor and adventure based learning company, announced that registrations for the Great American Bicycle Ride (GABR), a cycling expedition along the West coast of USA, are now open. A first of its kind expedition for children in the 14–17 year age group, GABR is a challenging and awe-inspiring journey, wherein children cycle from Seattle to San Francisco covering 1100 km over 21 days. Scheduled to take place from May 17 to June 9, 2013, inme is offering an early bird discount for children who enroll before March 1st, 2013.

The expedition route designed by experts, have participants cycle through mountains, plains and challenging uphill stretches in rough weather to test their stamina and mettle. During this expedition children bike and hike through the Giant Redwood forest in California which has some of the tallest and oldest trees in the world, sand-board on the dunes at the Sand Master Park in Oregon and camp at 19 different locations along the Pacific coast. Commenting about GABR, Sarabjit Singh Wallia, head of operations and facilitator, inme, said, “GABR offers children the unique opportunity to travel with peers, connect with nature, explore their strengths and enhance their life skills. The experience and challenge of this journey opens the group to possibilities and behavioural changes that help them realise their true potential.”
