KTO reaffirms faith in the India market – Signs MoU with OTOAI, amidst other activities

s part of the Festival and to promote the Destination, Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) has signed a MOU with the Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI).

Korea Tourism has recently organised the Korea Festival in Mumbai to highlight and promote the destination to the Trade and the Consumers with 2 days of activities at Phoenix Mall. As part of the Festival and to promote the Destination, Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) has signed a MOU with the Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI). Korea intends to introduce new aspects of their country for the India market from MICE to leisure. Korea is getting popular amidst the Indian youth from concerts to stage events to plays. The country aims to promote itself with new attractions for the traveller from India. OTOAI has announced complete support to the region in their initiative.

Further, to address the concern of the Indian palate and the India friendly cuisine in the country, the tourism board also released the Book Titled “Indian Friendly Restaurants in Korea” for the Indian Visitor and the travel trade. Speaking at the event, Jeong Ha Park – Executive Vice President for International Tourism / Korea Tourism Organisation, he has complete faith in the India market and the trade has been working very strongly with the Korean counterparts. He also believes that the MoU between OTOAI and KTO would help boost numbers further. The main gist of the MOU is to collaborate and work very closely together to promote the destination with the members of OTOAI. Also KTO will be organising exclusive workshops in multi city across India for the members of OTOAI about the destination. Korea will be the Focus country  for the year. OTOAI was represented by Mahendra Vakharia – President OTOAI and Himanshu Patil, Vice President of OTOAI.
