Air India SATS Airport Services (AISATS)

Ramanathan Rajamani

Air India SATS Airport Services (AISATS), India’s premier airport services company, announced the appointment of Ramanathan Rajamani (Ramana) as its new chief executive officer, effective November 10, 2018. He succeeds Mike Chew who was AISATS’ chief executive officer since October 2015. Rajamani brings with him over 15 years of experience in both military and civil aviation sectors. He started his career with the Defence Science and Technology Agency ensuring reliability of fighter jets for the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF). He joined SATS in 2011 as head of the engineering team. Under his able leadership, the team later won the first patent for the organisation. He also won Singapore’s prestigious National Productivity Award in 2016 for his enormous contribution to SATS.


Taj Asia (TAL) & Taj Safaris (TSL)

Pankaj Sampat

Pankaj Sampat is now the area director, Sri Lanka, Maldives & Malaysia and head, Taj Asia (TAL) & Taj Safaris (TSL). He launched and positioned the new Taj Santacruz, Mumbai when he was the general manager of the hotel, prior to which he was the general manager of Vivanta President. He joined IHCL in 1993 at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai. Whilst managing his new role, Sampat will also additionally continue to carry out his responsibility as Center of Excellence (COE) lead for Food & Beverage Concepts.

Avinash Kumar

Novotel Imagica Khopoli has appointed Avinash Kumar as its new executive chef. Chef Kumar who comes with over 15 years of culinary experience, in his new role, will be looking after the functioning of the hotel in terms of setting the menu and mentoring the culinary team to source the right candidates for F&B. Chef Kumar, in his previous assignments, worked with The Lalit, New Delhi, The Lalit Golf & Spa Resort, Goa, The Holiday Inn Resort, Goa, Vivanta by Taj Holiday Village, Taj Exotica, Goa and more.

Rajat Sachdev

Sofitel Mumbai BKC has recently appointed Rajat Sachdev as its new pastry chef. Holding over eight years of culinary experience, Chef Sachdev in his new role will ensure that the pastry team provides consistent quality of food and beverage, in accordance with international standards, enhancing their own ability to create with a purpose of achieving complete guest satisfaction and organisational profitability, and ensuring an atmosphere of high team morale. In his previous assignments, Chef Sachdev has worked with The Leela Ambience Hotel Gurgaon, Hyatt Hyderabad Gachibowli, Shangri-La Eros Hotel New Delhi, JW Marriott Chandigarh, and The Oberoi New Delhi.

Sameer Malik

Sameer Malik has recently joined Novotel Pune as the director of sales. With an experience of nearly 10 years in the hospitality sector, Malik is known for his active competence as a team player and has worked with leading hospitality brands like The Oberoi group, Hilton Mumbai, Trident, etc., among others. During his assignment with Novotel Pune, Malik will be responsible for the development and implementation of business strategies for the property. Malik will be responsible for bringing new ideas, strategies and implementing them successfully at the hotel.


JW Marriott Kolkata

Sabrina Dey

In a career spanning over 12 years, Sabrina Dey has been appointed as the director of operation at JW Marriott Kolkata. In her new role, Dey will be seen effectuating strategies to support business growth, revenue generation through up-selling of products and services, and creation of value through designing new products. Ensuring strict compliance with quality, safety, environment and health standards, her focus will demonstrate creativity conceptualising and executing unique guest experiences. Following her Diploma in Hotel Management from The Oberoi Centre for Learning and Development (OCLD) in 2008, Dey kick-started her career with The Oberoi Mumbai as assistant manager, F&B, where she was also a recipient of the FLO GR8 Award for Bravery 2009 for her commitment to guest relations during the 26/11 terror attack at the hotel.


Dabur India

Mohit Malhotra

The Dabur India board has approved the appointment of Mohit Malhotra as the company’s new chief executive officer with effect from April 1, 2019. Malhotra, who is currently the CEO of the company’s India business, will succeed current chief executive officer Sunil Duggal. Malhotra, who was also appointed as a whole-time director of the company with effect from January 31, 2019, will work as CEO-Designate till March 31, 2019, under the guidance of Duggal.
