VISITFLANDERS holds series of educational seminars for travel fraternity

VISITFLANDERS, the tourism promotion organisation for the region of Flanders and Brussels, organised a series of ‘Fabulous Flanders’ educational seminars for travel agents in Hyderabad, Chandigarh and Pune. The objective of these seminars was to reach out to travel trade fraternity and showcase the new products and tourism attractions that Flanders and Brussels offers to Indian visitors.

The three-city educational seminars were attended by travel agents and their concerned staff members. The agents interacted with the team and got a chance to know more about the Flemish region through this initiative. VISITFLANDERS aims to use such platforms to build relationships with the travel fraternity, thereby creating experiential packages for Flanders, and attract more Indian tourists.

Sunil Puri, managing director – Representative Office for Tourism Flanders & Brussels (Belgium) said, “Whether you’re interested in art and design, history and architecture, beer, fashion, cycling, chocolate and other culinary delights, or are looking for a romantic weekend; Flanders has it all. Through the ‘Fabulous Flanders’ educational seminars, our intention was to reach out to our travel partners in these cities and thus introduce them to the various offerings of the destination which will further help them create personalised packages.”

Earlier in 2015, honouring ‘The Year of the Beer’ in Flanders, VISITFLANDERS also unveiled its beer website www.beerinflanders.com, which encapsulates the beer culture of Belgium. The website was launched to educate visitors on history of beer, beer making culture, and the variety of Belgian beer available at the destination.
