All three events received a good response and were attended by more than 450 tour operators, agents, members of TAAI, OTOAI and TAFI.

The Italian dignitaries present in Kolkata and New Delhi who addressed the gathering were Daniele Mancini, ambassador of Italy to India, Dr. Riccardo Strano, director, ENIT, Asia and Oceania, Salvatore Ianniello, ENIT representative India, Dr. Alessandro Mancini, ticketing and tourism director, and Dr. Raffaele Piscopiello, ticketing sales account specialist Expo 2015 S.p.a.

The presentations made by Dr. Alessandro Mancini and Dr. Raffaele Piscopiello explained in detail various aspects of Expo Milano 2015 especially in terms of what the Expo had to offer to the people interested in visiting them during the Exposition and how it will host the country pavilions, thematic areas, clusters and open spaces for cultural events and entertainment for those six months. They also discussed in detail the ticketing aspect of Expo.

With India being a key country and important market for Italy, the Expo Milano event team is keen to expand the expo brand in the country and the main purpose of their global visit is to identify and evaluate best tour operators worldwide and sign them up as part of the team of authorised resellers. One of the main highlights of the three city road show was the signing of the first Indian operator as an Authorised Ticket Reseller during the Mumbai event and with the intention of signing on more during the coming weeks.
