Sabre signs content distribution agreement with Mongolia’s Hunnu Air

Sabre Corporation, the leading technology provider to the global travel industry, has announced a long-term agreement with Hunnu Air, Mongolia’s second largest carrier. Having undergone a significant strategy overhaul, the carrier will now rely on Sabre for its content distribution. The partnership will accelerate operations as they increase their footprint across Mongolia, in line with the country’s growing demand for domestic and regional travel options, along with strategic locations in China and Russia.

Mongolia is a vast and sparsely populated country that relies heavily on air transport to connect its main cities. With tourism in Mongolia undergoing a rapid transformation, Hunnu Air is committed to supplying reliable domestic flights for tourists and locals alike. Under the new agreement, the airline will leverage Sabre’s leading global travel marketplace, a platform of choice for more than 425,000 travel agents around the world and a driving force behind a harmonised booking process for travellers and agents located within Mongolia and beyond.

“Hunnu Air has taken on a new direction, more committed than ever to providing convenient domestic and regional flight options to travellers. In conjunction with our growing fleet and numerous scheduling options, we are eager to leverage Sabre and the platform that we need to continue to grow our operations, and further anchor ourselves within the country’s travel landscape,” said Munkhjargal Purevjal, CEO, Hunnu Air.

“Sabre understands the Mongolia market and is well positioned to support Hunnu Air’s growth through the distribution of new bookable content. We are proud to support the carrier’s strategic considerations and to distribute their content through Sabre’s leading global travel marketplace,” said Rakesh Narayanan, vice president, airline of business, Sabre Travel Network Asia Pacific.

Sabre’s software, data, mobile and distribution solutions are used by hundreds of airlines and thousands of hotel properties to manage critical operations, including passenger and guest reservations, revenue management, flight, network and crew management. Sabre also operates a leading global travel marketplace, which processes more than US$120 billion of global travel spend annually by connecting travel buyers and suppliers. Headquartered in Southlake, Texas, USA, Sabre serves customers in more than 160 countries around the world.
