She’s the one who drives, while He’s the one who thrives to see her drive. This International Women’s Day, Express TravelWorld acknowledges and celebrates the spirit of men who are secured in their space.

I take pride in supporting a dynamic woman like Veena.

Sudhir Patil, founder/director, VeenaWorld on women empowerment.
We we got married in 1989, I knew from day one my wife was dynamic and she was extremely positive and it never occurred to me to clamp her down. We have a synergy that’s very strong and since the last 30 years, we support each other wholeheartedly. Her risk taking ability is terrific. She is clear in her conscious and I take pride in supporting a dynamic woman like Veena. What is important to discuss, understand and accept her point of view. Its important for the family to value the contribution that the woman makes at her work place. As men we need to be open minded and all issues can be solved. Suspicion is an extremely detrimental trait.

Mutual respect is the key connect in a relationship.

I urge women not to give up on their careers

Veena Patil, founder/director, VeenaWorld
I have never felt that men and women are different. There is no question of who is greater or not. It does not matter which gender is leading in the family. If you are capable, you must lead. My weaknesses are my husband’s and vice versa. In my company today we employ women with any biases. We do not judge her. In fact many girls in my office draw higher remunerations than their male counterpart. I started my career as a tour manager, which was typically a male oriented profession. But I must say, both man and a woman need support. When I traveled the world, it was family that stood by me. Men need more support than women as I feel women are more stronger. My recent campaign that `if a woman supports a woman, then the world can truly change.’ I urge women not to give up on their careers and take all support but pursue what you cherish.
