Costa Cruises appoints Lotus Destinations as GSA in India

Costa Victoria to set sail from Singapore

Mumbai-based Lotus Destinations has been appointed as the general sales agent (GSA) of Cost Cruises in India. With an aim to promote Costa Cruises extensively, the company is looking at appointing about 25 preferred sales agents (PSAs) including special preferred partners on pan-India basis. “These agencies will be appointed keeping in view their credentials and their ability to make cruising a way of holidaying for Indians,” revealed Nalini Gupta, managing director, Lotus Destinations. She further added that, “Cruising has huge potential in the Indian market. I am happy to be a part of this growth. There is a lot of can do and achieve in this sector.”

Lotus Destinations has lined up some definite plans in place for Costa wherein the company is proposing to host events and quality functions on broad the cruise. The company plans to bring in Costa neoRomantica in October 2012 and if all the clearances are in place the cruise-liner will witness a Bollywood event on board. Costa Victoria which recently visited the Mumbai shores for a showcase will be stationed out of Singapore and will be active for cruising from November 17, 2012 coinciding with Diwali festival in India. Apart from interested tour operators and travel agents, Singapore Tourism Board was also present at the Costa Victoria promotional event.
