The City is constantly evolving and with these new developments there is even more to look forward to. New York City is a year round destination, we want to encourage visitors to enjoy these brand new attractions along with unique events happening in the City during the holiday season and take advantage of the City’s affordable pricing during winter.”

Heywood’s visit coincides with a NYC & Company travel trade mission across India from September 7–11, where NYC & Company’s Global Tourism Development team along with NYC member companies The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Empire State Building will meet with key travel agents and tour operators in Chennai, Mumbai and New Delhi.

Makiko Matsuda Healy, senior vice-president, Global Tourism Development said, “New York City welcomed an estimated 263,000 visitors from India in 2014, reflecting a growth of 12 per cent since the previous year. We want to continue to build on the past growth and help realise the potential we see in the Indian market.”
