New Zealand’s business events showcase kicks off in Auckland

Conventions and Incentives New Zealand’s (CINZ) annual showcase, MEETINGS 2015 kicked off with a welcome event for 650 people at Hilton Auckland on June 9, 2015. Sue Sullivan, chief executive, CINZ said, “This event is New Zealand’s leading platform for connecting influential domestic, Australian and international buyers with key regions, meeting facilities, accommodation, off-site venues and activities.

Spectacular stand designs for the two-day show, which opened this morning, bring experiences from 18 regions of New Zealand under one roof at ASB Showground’s.

Exhibitors and buyers are paired together for 5,600 appointments, while master classes for professional conference organisers, a celebrity speaker showcase, and mentorship programme add to the networking aspects of the show.

Sullivan said, “We are seeing strong interest in New Zealand as a place to host great conferences, incentives and events. The feedback from 60 Australian event organisers who toured our regions this week has been tremendous. New Zealand buyers have travelled from all over the country to join us for the two days, together with a significant number of local Auckland event organisers coming in each day.”
