IAAPI Amusement Expo to be held in Mumbai

The Indian Association of Amusement Parks and Industries (IAAPI) is set to unveil the 16th IAAPI Amusement Expo from March 3-5, 2016 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The expo is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Incredible India and Chhattisgarh. The exhibition is expected to witness over 100+ exhibitors from India and 19 countries, spread across 8000 sq m exhibition floor area showcasing latest rides and equipment for amusement parks, theme parks, water parks, adventure sports and family entertainment centres.

Important issues related to the amusement industry will also be discussed at the event. The event will be visited by decision makers from the amusement park, family entertainment centres, resorts, hotel chains, real estate developers, sports bars, cafes, museums, science centres, government officials from tourism development boards, municipal and local bodies over the period of three days.

The Indian amusement and theme park industry has been growing at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of more than 17.5 per cent with annual revenue of around `17 billion and estimated to grow to at least `40 billion by 2020. Amusement Parks in India attract over 30 million visitors annually. Children and youth constitute 25 per cent of park visitors, whereas adults constitute the remaining 75 per cent as they either visit with their families or in corporate groups.
