American Express partners with MakeMyTrip to launch travel credit card

American Express, the world’s largest card issuer by purchase volume, and MakeMyTrip(MMYT), has launched the new ‘American Express MakeMyTrip Credit Card’ offering savings and benefits for travellers and shoppers alike.

With a first year fee of INR750, the American Express MakeMyTrip Credit Card offers MMYT vouchers worth INR9000 on joining, which can be redeemed across flights, hotels and holiday offers on MMYT. The card also offers five per cent cashback (upto INR3,000) on MMYT bookings, and additional MMYT vouchers of INR2000 and INR5000 on spending INR1.25 lacs and INR2.5 lacs in a year, respectively. Powered by Payback, the new card makes spending more rewarding with upto five Payback points for every INR100 spent on all bookings at MMYT, two points for every INR100 spent elsewhere, and multiple Payback points on spending at over 50 Payback partner brands.

The new card also offers exclusive savings on dining and 2.5 per cent fuel surcharge waiver at HPCL outlets. Further, the card allows customers the flexibility to spread their payments into easy installments over a period of time, at attractive interest rates.
