Abu Dhabi organises cruise tourism workshop in India

Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority and Abu Dhabi Ports concluded a trade workshop in Delhi on October 7 and Mumbai on October 8, 2015. The focus was emerging market of Cruise Tourism for the Indian outbound to Abu Dhabi. There was a good response from the Indian travel trade with over 300 travel agents from over 250 companies in Delhi and Mumbai collectively.

Saeed A Al Dhaheri, cruise sector and city tour development section manager; Abdulla Mohammed Al Mansouri, city tour executive, tourism ecosystem and leisure department; along with Bejan Dinshaw, country manager, India, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, were present at the occasion. Abu Dhabi key stakeholders were also present, including Farah Leisure (representing Ferrari World & Yas Waterworld), Rotana Group of Hotels, Dnata, Lama Tours and North Tours.

The event showcased attractive facets of Destination Abu Dhabi, the emerging cruise segment and connectivity onboard the Etihad-Jet Airways alliance. There were presentations by Indian cruise service providers including MSC Cruises and Royal Caribbean Cruises with a focus on developing packages suitable for Indian outbound cruise market to Abu Dhabi.
