The Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) will be organising its third edition of the Indian Travel Trade Expo (ITTE) on September 14-15, 2012 at the Trident Hotel, Mumbai. The event will mostly be inaugurated by the chief minister of Maharashtra. Talking about the expo, Iqbal Mulla, president, TAAI said, “The two-day event will have business sessions in which various travel industry issues like the service tax, weekly settlement system will be discussed upon. However we are still in the process of finalising the topics of the business sessions. We will also bring out a white paper on the same and submit it to ministry of Tourism, government of India.” This year the expo will have 25 exhibitors and the association will be hosting 400 tour operators from India and 50 tour operators from abroad. The last day of the expo will have a buyer-seller meet as well.

Last year the association had carried out its 60th Diamond Jubilee Celebration in Mumbai with ITTE 2011. “This is the perfect opportunity for all involved in the trade to come together and engage in intense deliberations that will bear fruit for them,” added Mulla.
